How to lift your February blues to change your happiness quotient <3

Here are a few tips to help with your winter blues! Hope you enjoy and can put them into practice.

  1. Lift your mood first thing in the morning, as you open your eyes whilst still lying in bed, by listing three things you are grateful for in your life! They can be the same three every morning for as long as you like. This practice shifts your mood for the day and is especially important when going through a tough situation.
  2. Through out the day, watch your breathing as often as you can and remember to breathe from your belly– that wave breath comes in really handy when you are in the midst of a stressful or anxious day. The more often you are present to how you actually breathe, allows you to start changing your breathing pattern and retraining your breathing centre.  Soon breathing fully and being present in your breath and in your day will just be second nature!
  3. And lastly, just before you doze off into that wonderful Shangri-la Never Never Land, leave the most beautiful lasting impressions for your subconscious to absorb and reprogram itself ALLLL NIGHT … you can do this by telling yourself the most wonderful I AM-isms about yourself every night … you could ideally say some I am’s about things you are struggling with ..i.e: your weight, focus, concentration, maybe a drinking or smoking habit you want to break, maybe you feel less than beautiful, maybe you don’t feel so smart … what ever it might be you would say to yourself in your mind:
I am smart, I am a beautiful person, I am healthy, I am free of smoking, I am able to say no, I am the ideal weight for my body, I am positive, I am happy, I am in love myself – I truly love myself, I am the best sleeper – I sleep through the night, I am a great communicator- I communicate my inner most thoughts with ease and confidence, I am able to focus and finish my daily tasks….
 
**And your bonus tip once again is to look yourself in the mirror while staring straight into your eyes and say your first and last name and tell yourself  that you LOVE AND ACCEPT YOURSELF COMPLETELY <3

You might be wondering what Integral Breathwork has to do with feeling happy and being healthy?  To heal ourselves of old traumas/ negative emotions/ hurtful memories consciously or unconsciously affecting us a great idea is to clear them out of our system. When we are able to do this we can truly experience a freedom in our emotional, spiritual, mental, physical existence.  We have the power to transform our lives from an “unhealthy” state to a “healthy” one with Breathwork as a practice.  Oxygen is our tool  to manoeuvre and “wake up” these inner conversations and as they surface, it is our responsibility to face, accept and learn from them to free ourselves. When not cleared it can manifest into feelings of being stuck, anxiety, stress which can ultimately lead to dis-ease in our bodies.   We can change our lives. We do possess the capacity to be anything we think and choose to be and in doing so we are powerful beyond all measure!
